Marguerite, a 20-year-old “cretin”, becomes aware of her condition for the first time when a Swiss doctor arrives in her small Alpine village to take her to his treatment center. She’s not the only one concerned, and the doctor’s announcement doesn’t go down well with everyone. But in the midst of all this confusion, Marguerite manages to make the voices of the unheard heard.
